Murals, Mountains & More
Big projects in the works for 2026!
It’s 2026 and things are in motion! I’ve been back in the beautiful Colorado Rockies since early January living the cabin life, playing in the snow, building fires, and creating tons of art.
The entire month of January was jam packed and I’m finally starting to feel caught up on things. I’ve been wrapping up a special illustration project for an upcoming novel, several commissions, and most excitingly — stepping back into the world of painting murals. Reintroducing murals into my practice was one of my primary goals for this year, so it feels especially exciting to see that taking shape.
A Challenge Like No Other
Speaking of murals, a few weeks ago, I completed a bathroom mural made entirely with charcoal sticks and charcoal pencils — a first for me, and easily one of the most challenging projects I’ve ever taken on. To be honest, I hesitated to share it. It’s very different from the style I typically create, and finishing it required me to confront and move through a lot of my own perfectionism. I took this project on because I believe it’s important to regularly step outside my comfort zone and explore new concepts, experiment and push myself creatively. I was confident I could execute this loose, Japanese inspired, surrealist style… but damn, it was hard. The original concept didn’t work with paint. I reworked the mural three separate times before ultimately deciding to switch mediums entirely. That decision honestly freaked me out. But the piece had to be completed. With patience, trust, and persistence, everything eventually came together.
After all the revisions and uncertainty, the most important thing was knowing how happy the owners were with the final piece. That made every challenge worthwhile and that made me happy.
Here are a couple detail photos (and a couple video screenshots) captured as I worked on the mural:

The Next Mural Will Be BIG
I begin work on the next mural in two weeks and it will be my largest one yet. Inspired by the San Juan Mountains, pine trees, and the world of The Hobbit! Very on brand for me. This piece will feel much more aligned with my typical style, though I’ll definitely still be experimenting. I’m incredibly excited about this one and will be documenting the entire process through photo and video, so stay tuned!
Recent Work
Alongside the mural projects, I’ve been working on a range of commissions and personal pieces over the past couple of months. From portraits to animals to trees. My next collection will be entirely focused on birds, so it’s been refreshing to spend time exploring a variety of other subjects in the meantime.
If you’ve been considering a custom piece, commissions are currently open.
Here’s a look at some recent work:
There are so many projects in the works, and I’ll be sharing more details about my upcoming collection of originals and prints very soon!
As always, thank you for following along and supporting my work. It truly means a lot.
Much Love,
Parker

That career projection is very exciting! This is going to be a banner year for you, no doubt! Best of luck on your ambitious goals.
You’re amazingly talented Parker ✨💫 I so enjoy seeing your work!
I’m quite fascinated with your pencils… the way you shape the long tips. And I find myself wondering how many you get through. Would love to read a blog about the tools you use and how you’ve come to understand them.
